When life gives you lemons make... hand sanitizer (and rum!) 

Islanders tend to be a resourceful bunch, you have to be when you can't just call on the skills of someone to fix this or get the right part to instantly to fix that. Thinking up a workable, if not totally elegant, solution becomes second nature. 

So it's no real surprise that in the middle of a global pandemic with hand sanitiser in short supply the only rum distillery on the Isles of Scilly (and St Martin's) set about making sure we didn't go short.
